Sun City INDEPENDENT Staff

Marc Anthoni Mancera was born in El Paso, Texas and is a proud graduate of Socorro High School. He holds a bachelors degree in music education from the University of Texas at El Paso. During his time at the University of Texas at El Paso, Marc has been a part of various musical ensembles such as The UTEP Percussion Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Symphonic Orchestra, Concert Band, Pantastics Steel Pan Band and The Marching Miners.

Marc’s performing experience includes 4 years with the marching miners on snare, bass and tenors as well as being a Sun City Independent Alumi member performing during their 2019 and 2020 seasons on bass drum.

Marc has assisted at various 6A and 5A High Schools as a Battery Technician. Marc joined the Sun City teaching staff assuming the role of bass technician during their 2024 season. Currently Marc proudly serves as the percussion specialist for Horizon High School and their feeder.
